Allegiance World Premiere Announced for September 2012
Allegiance to open the fall season at The Old Globe in 2012. Here begins our path towards Broadway. Thank you for your support and help along the way

Friends,

I have devoted much of my life to two passions:  the profession of acting, and raising awareness of the Japanese American internment.  My new Broadway-bound show, Allegiance, is a perfect marriage of the two, so I am thrilled to be able to comment on the announcement of our World Premiere at the Old Globe in San Diego in September of 2012.

Previews begin on September 6th, and opening night is set for September 16th 2012.

Allegiance is a monumental, stirring and unforgettable piece of theater about one family’s struggle and heroism during one of the darkest and least understood chapters of American history.  The music by composer and lyricist Jay Kuo soars, and it’s sure to make theater history when it arrives in New York after our premiere in San Diego.

I am so very proud to play the part of “Old Sam” opposite theater legend and Tony Award winner Lea Salonga (Miss Saigon, Les Mis, Aladdin, Mulan) and alongside rising starTelly Leung (Godspell, Rent, Glee).

Here is the official press release from the Old Globe.

I would be so honored if you would sign up as an ambassador here on this site, and help us along on our path to Broadway. To sign up, simply click on the LOG IN button at the top/right of this page and follow the process.

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.
