JON JON BRIONES was born in the Philippines. In 1989 he went to London to join the original cast of Miss Saigon. He has played the Engineer in Miss Saigon in Germany, US Tour, UK Tour, Asian Tour, the Philippines as well as a return to London for its final year. Recently he played the title character in The Romance of Magno Rubio at [Inside] The Ford for which he garnered an LA Weekly best actor nomination.
Other theater credits: Enjolras in Les Miserable, Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors, Tateh in Ragtime, Lion in the The Wiz, Laertes in Hamlet, Rapunzel’s Prince in Into the Woods, Man 1 in Closer Than Ever, Lukas in Peregrinasyon with Ma-Yi Theater Company, Yellow Face with CTG at the Mark Taper Forum and most recently Fredrik in A Little Night Music with East West Players. TV: recurring guest star “Cosme Caliyag” on Las Vegas, “Asian Elvis” on Sons of Anarchy, guest stars on Miami Medical, Monk, Southland, Law & Order LA and Moonlight and a recurring role on General Hospital. Film: Mr. Fan in Model Home, Father Mena in Blood Ransom, Asian Genie in The Fifth Voyage of Sinbad, Dawn’s Father in Proud American, Uncle Jon Jon in Brown Soup Thing, Raul in Nico’s Sampaguita, Paulo Alcedo in An Immigrant Girl’s Journey and Rhadamanths in Breathe.
