Assistant Director

MELANIE TOJIO LOCKYER (Assistant Director) is proud to be a part of the Allegiance family. She Co-Directed/Choreographed Les Misèrables at Casa Manana and in Hawaii where she also Co-Dir/Choreographed Thoroughly Modern Millie.  

She was the Associate Director/Choreographer for productions of Miss Saigon at: Music Theater of Wichita; The Muny in St Louis; Papermill Playhouse, NJ (Assoc. Choreographer); and The American Musical Theatre of San Jose.  Most recently, Melanie was the Assoc. Dir/Choreographer for Music Theater of Wichita’s production of Smokey Joe’s Café.  As an actress, Melanie played “Kim” in Miss Saigon both on Broadway and The First National Tour.  Melanie also works as a Casting Director in NYC where she worked on the Tony award winning Broadway show, Fela! with Arnold Mungioli.  She also cast John Tartaglia’s Imaginocean (off B’way).
